This policy outlines our dedication to health and safety management and establishes the responsibilities of all individuals to ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and best practices.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all employees, subcontractors, and participants engaged in training activities conducted by Study Skills Zone Limited on school premises.

3. Responsibilities

  • Management: Study Skills Zone Limited’s management is responsible for providing leadership and resources to support effective health and safety management.
  • Employees and Subcontractors: All employees and subcontractors are responsible for adhering to health and safety procedures, reporting hazards and incidents, and actively participating in health and safety training.
  • Participants: Participants attending our training workshops are responsible for following instructions provided by trainers and adhering to health and safety guidelines outlined during the sessions.

4. Risk Assessment and Management

  • Study Skills Zone Limited will conduct risk assessments for all training activities conducted on school premises to identify potential hazards and implement control measures to mitigate risks.
  • Employees and subcontractors must report any hazards or concerns to Study Skills Zone Limited’s management and cooperate with risk management procedures.
  • While on school premises, Study Skills Zone Limited will adhere to the school’s health and safety guidelines and be directed by their site team.

5. Training and Competence

  • Study Skills Zone Limited will provide health and safety training to all employees and subcontractors as required to ensure competency in identifying and managing workplace hazards.
  • Employees and subcontractors must maintain appropriate qualifications and competencies relevant to their roles and responsibilities.

6. Safe Working Practices

  • All employees and subcontractors must adhere to safe working practices outlined in Study Skills Zone Limited’s health and safety procedures, as well as the health and safety guidelines provided by the school while on their premises. This includes the proper use of equipment, personal protective equipment (PPE), and emergency procedures.
  • Employees and subcontractors must report any incidents, accidents, or near misses to Study Skills Zone Limited’s management promptly.

7. Communication and Consultation

  • Study Skills Zone Limited will communicate health and safety information to employees, subcontractors, and participants through training sessions, written materials, and regular updates.
  • Study Skills Zone Limited will liaise with the school’s site team to ensure effective communication and consultation on health and safety matters.

8. Monitoring and Review

  • Study Skills Zone Limited will regularly monitor and review health and safety performance to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with legal requirements and industry standards.
  • This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary to reflect changes in legislation, best practice, and organizational requirements.

9. Reporting Procedures

  • Employees and subcontractors must report any health and safety concerns, hazards, incidents, accidents, or near misses to Study Skills Zone Limited’s management immediately.
  • Study Skills Zone Limited will investigate reported incidents and take appropriate corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

10. Implementation

This policy will be communicated to all employees and subcontractors of Study Skills Zone Limited, who will be required to confirm their understanding and compliance.


This Health and Safety Policy ensures that Study Skills Zone Limited maintains a safe working environment on school premises by adhering to the school’s health and safety guidelines and being directed by their site team, in addition to internal health and safety procedures.
